Master’s, distance learning, research and Bachelor’s courses starting in January and February
The new year is a great time to set off on the path towards your next qualification – if you're not ready to start a course this autumn, you can start many of our courses in January or February.
Courses with a January or February intake include Master's degrees, top-up Bachelor's degrees, part-time courses and postgraduate research programmes. Most accept international students and you can study many of our courses online by distance learning, giving you the flexibility to study at home without coming to the University.
You can also start any of our work-based Learning at Work degree courses in January.

Master's courses starting in January
Master's and postgraduate taught courses starting in January and February include full-time and part-time courses.

If you achieve, or have already achieved, a first class honours degree and accept an offer on a Master's course with us, you could get £3,000 off your course tuition fee with our Master's Scholarship (conditions apply).

Postgraduate research programmes starting in February
You can start any of our full-time and part-time PhD, MPhil and MD programmes in February or October.
To apply for a postgraduate research course, find the PhD, MPhil or MD degree you want to do. Then contact us to get in touch with a potential supervisor and discuss your research before you apply.

Distance learning courses starting in January
Study online at a location that suits you, at a time that fits with your schedule and other commitments.
You get interactive digital course material, and streamed lectures and seminars on some courses. Plus access to teaching, support staff and a personal tutor via email, phone and video calls.

Our Learning at Work degree courses allow you to get an undergraduate Bachelor's or postgraduate Master's university degree alongside your current job, without going to university full time.

Most courses with a January and February intake are open to students from outside the UK and EU, but some aren't. If a course isn't open to international students, it will say this on the course page.
